A 50-year-old woman sub divisional magistrate Nisha Napit was allegedly suffocated to death by her husband Manish Sharma (45) in the residence in Dindori district of Madhya Pradesh on Sunday.
Nisha Napit was posted as sub divisional magistrate (SDM) Shahpura in Dindori, district.
According to the police, Manish Sharma used pillow to suffocate his wife Nisha Napit for allegedly not making him nominee in her service record and other documents.
The police cracked the case within 24 hours after the spot inspection by the FSL team and other clues gathered from the spot of murder.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused attempted to destroy the evidences, the police said.
The SDM was brought by her husband Manish Sharma to Shahpura Community Health Center for treatment, where reportedly she died before reaching the hospital.
After the police received the information from the hospital, the cops conducted investigation. The doctor examined the body of the deceased who was bleeding from the mouth and nose.
The accused has been booked under crime section 302, 304 B, 201 IPC. The case has been registered and is being taken under investigation. The sensational murder of SDM Nisha Napit was revealed by Shahpura police station within 24 hours.
