The wild elephant undergoing treatment for injury in the legs died in the Kisli range of Kanha Tiger Reserve on Monday.
The injured wild elephant was brought from Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, the official note of the Kanha Tiger Reserve management said.
The age of the elephant was 18-20 years. The wild elephant was injured in the legs and there was swelling on the legs was treated by the expert veterinary doctors but the elephant could not survive, the note said.
as per the protocol of NTCA postmortem of the elephant’s body was done and some parts sent for viscera test in presence of forest conservator, the note added.
