Prime Minister Narendra Modi was accorded a warm welcome on his arrival at the Dumna airport in Jabalpur. Prime Minister Modi arrived at Dumna airport at around 2.15 pm by a special aircraft of the Indian Air Force.
The Prime Minister was received by MP Public Works Minister and in-charge of Jabalpur district Gopal Bhargav.
Prime Minister Modi left for the helipad located at Lalpur in Shahdol district at 2.30 pm in an Indian Air Force helicopter.
The Prime Minister was welcomed at the airport by Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti and Food Processing Industries Prahlad Singh Patel, Chairman of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation Vinod Gontia, MP Rakesh Singh, Rajya Sabha Member Sumitra Valmiki, MLAs Ajay Vishnoi, Sushil Kumar Tiwari ‘ Indu’, Ashok Rohani, Nandini Maravi, District Panchayat President Santosh Varkade, former Ministers Anchal Sonkar, Harendrajit Singh Babbu, former MLA Pratibha Singh, Former Mayors Swati Godbole and Prabhat Sahu.
Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, General Officer Commanding Lt. Gen. M.K. Das, Additional Director General of Police Chanchal Shekhar, Divisional Commissioner Abhay Verma, Additional Director General of Police Umesh Joga, Deputy Inspector General of Police R.R.S. Parihar, Collector Saurabh Kumar Suman and Superintendent of Police T.K. Vidyarthi were also present at Dumna airport.
