Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed a chargesheet against 95 people in connection with the multi-crore exam scam case on Tuesday. All the accused have been involved in the Pre Medical Test (PMT) held in 2011 in Madhya Pradesh. According to the CBI chargesheet, the hard disk of the computer system of the then Principal System Analyst of Business shows that in the final result, the number of candidates was increased so that they could pass in the examination.

The CBI chargesheet contains 83 test takers, four business executives and eight brokers associated with the irregularities in the contractual school teacher’s eligibility examination class-3 conducted by the VP in 2011.

The scandal in the business examination board (exposition) came out in 2013, when the test takers had bribe officials to write their own copies to others. This scam started in 1995, which included leaders, senior officials and businessmen.

After the Supreme Court’s order, the CBI took this case in its possession on July 9, 2015. This charge sheet relates to the pre-medical test of 2011, which is one of the many cases of irregularities in the examinations conducted by the occupation.

Earlier on October 31, 2017, the CBI had filed charge sheet against 490 people. There were 84 new accused in the charge sheet filed by the CBI against 490 people. Out of 84, 67 engine (those candidates who used to duplicate) and bogeys (those candidates who used to copy), 1 middleman and 22 guardians are included. The engine and the bogy code were used and the person involved in the racket used to manipulate the roll number in such a manner that the engine would sit ahead and sit behind the bogies so that they could easily copy the engine.

The CBI has given clean chit to Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh before the scandal in the business. Significantly, Congress leader Digvijay Singh had accused Shivraj Singh that hard disk was tampered with for saving Chauhan. However, the CBI had dismissed Digvijay Singh’s allegations.

After the allegations, the court handed over the investigation to the CBI. The CBI had said in its investigation report that there was no tampering with hard disk seized by investigating agencies. The CBI also conducted a forensic investigation of the hard disk.
