The Special Court CBI (Vyapam Cases), Indore (Madhya Pradesh) has sentenced Satyapal Kustwar (candidate), Shailendra Kumar (solver), Ravindra Dulawat (candidate), Ashish Uttam (solver) & Sanjay Dulawat (middleman) to undergo seven years rigorous imprisonment in a case related to MPPMT-2009 examination conducted by Vyapam.
CBI had registered the instant case on 14.12.2015 in compliance to the orders dated 09.07.2015 of Supreme Court of India and taken over the investigation of the FIR No. 1203/09 dated 05.11.2009 earlier registered at Police Station Sanyogitaganj, Indore against the accused on complaint.
It was alleged that the accused Satyapal Kustwar and Ravindra Dulawat fraudulently qualified in the MPPMT-2009 examination conducted by Vyapam on 05.07.2009 through impersonation.
Both the candidates were allotted Mahatma Gandhi Memorial (MGM) Medical College at Indore in counselling and subsequently, they attended admission process in MGM College, Indore.
However, during admission process both the candidates were caught by the Scrutiny Committee of MGM College, Indore as their photographs were not matching with the photographs affixed on Result Sheet of MPPMT-2009. Scrutiny Committee denied admission to both the candidates and subsequently, on the basis of a complaint of Dean of MGM College, Indore, the FIR No. 1203/09 was registered at Police Station Sanyogitaganj, Indore. During investigation, three other accused including middlemen, impersonator were arraigned as accused. Earlier, the State Police had filed a chargesheet.
After thorough, investigation CBI filed two separate supplementary charge sheets pertaining to the selection of the candidate Ravindra Dulawat and candidate Satyapal Kustwar before the Court of Special Judicial Magistrate, CBI Cases, Indore (MP) on 03.02.2018. The Trial Court merged both chargesheets and continued the trial.
The Trial Court found the 05 accused guilty and acquitted a middleman.
