Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has given instructions to celebrate Vikramotsav, Mahashivratri and Nagar Gaurav Diwas in a grand manner in Ujjain on March 1.
Trade fair and investors summit will also be organised on this occasion.
Ujjaiyani Vikram Trade Fair will be concluded with Shivjyoti Arpan programme on April 9, 2024.
These events will boost tourism and employment opportunities in Ujjain.
Among the cultural events, programmes of famous actress and dancer Hema Malini and playback singers Jubin Nautiyal and Amit Trivedi are also proposed.
“Pauranik Film Festival” will be held on this occasion. Besides, Vikram calendar and Vedic clock will also be dedicated.
Trade Fair
Preparations are also underway for the Ujjaiyani Sales Trade Fair in Ujjain. The trade fair is being organised by Municipal Corporation Ujjain. Automobile and electronic sector shops will be prominently set up in the trade fair.
In these, local businessmen of Ujjain are being given precedence. Dealers of various goods in other sectors of the trade fair are also being invited.
There will also be a food zone for the citizens in the fair. In this zone, citizens will be able to especially relish the cuisine of Malwa.
The items will be displayed and sold through the Departments of Science and Technology, Tourism, Culture, Cottage and Village Industries in the trade fair. The trade fair will conclude on April 9.
Investors Summit
On the instructions of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Investors Summit is also being organised to attract industries in Ujjain and other districts of the division.
Investors from other states along with Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh are being invited to the summit.
In the summit, efforts are being made to boost employment opportunities at the local level through garments, textile and food processing units.
Extensive preparations are underway in Ujjain for all the events.
A list of proposed activities for the events is being prepared.
Information about the industrialists and their industrial units invited to the Investors Summit is being updated.
Recently, the preparations for the grand event of Vikram Trade Fair, Investors Summit and Vikramotsav on March 1 were reviewed by Secretary MSME and MD of MPIDC with local administrative officials.
Commercial Tax Department
Citizens will be able to avail the benefit of 50 percent tax rebate being given by the state government on the purchase of automobiles. Companies associated with automobile and electronic products will be able to launch their products in the trade fair.
Ujjain District Administration, Municipal Corporation Ujjain along with other government departments is going to organise the event on 8 hectare area at PGBT College Ground and Dussehra Ground from March 1.
More than 400 shops will be set up here.
220 shops will operate on PGBT grounds and 181 shops will operate on Dussehra grounds.
The Tourism Department will provide the facility of staying in hotels at concessional rates along with Mahakal Darshan.
Special focus on cleanliness and safety
In the events to be held in Ujjain from March 1, the Municipal Corporation will pay special attention to cleanliness and safety at the trade fair venue along with convenient movement of citizens.
The entire fair area will be covered with CCTV cameras.
There will be extensive parking arrangements at the fair site.
Godown arrangements have also been made for businessmen.
Public participation is also being encouraged in these events.
