Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the Jat community is a courageous, hardworking and brave community. This community also does the work of stocking the grain store for the country. The Jat Regiment has been inducted in the Indian Army. The community has given us leaders like Maharaja Ranjit Singh, Maharaja Yashodharman, Surajmal, Bhakta Karmabai, Maharaja Poras, Shri Puranmal and Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh. Veer Tejaji Maharaj is considered sacred in the Jat community. Hence, with due respects to the sentiments of the Jat community, Veer Tejaji Welfare Board will be formed in Madhya Pradesh. There will also be an optional holiday on Teja Dashami, the Nirvana day of Tejaji Maharaj. Along with this, necessary initiatives will be taken for educational buildings in Bhopal, Indore and Gwalior. The history of Jat legends will also be included in the school curriculum, so that the younger generation can get inspiration and guidance.

Chouhan was addressing the Jat Mahakumbh at BHEL Dussehra ground in Bhopal today. Former Union Minister Shri Vikram Verma, Agriculture Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shri Kamal Patel, MLA Smt. Neena Verma, Shri Abhay Chautala and Shri Yashpal Malik from Haryana, President of Mahila Morcha Madhya Pradesh, Smt. Maya Naroliya, Shri Prahlad Patel, Sanika Jat, Shri Hanuman Beniwal, Shri Yudhveer Singh, Shailaram Sharan, Shri Radheshyam Patel, Shri Ramdin Patel, Shri. Bilash Patel, Shri Narendra Jakhar, Shri Shiv Patel, Shri Radheshyam Patel, Shri Nirmal Choudhary besides a large number of people’s representatives from the Jat community and members of organizations were present. Representatives of Jat community from Madhya Pradesh and other states also participated in the conference.

Chouhan while welcoming the representatives who came to the Jat Mahakumbh said that Veer Tejaswi Tejaji Maharaj made unrelenting efforts to stop cow slaughter and protect the cow progeny. It is believed that the Jats originated from the Jatas (hair locks) of Lord Shiva. The Jats emerged as a major military force to resist the Mughals. Rajaram Jat, the ruler of Bharatpur, started an organized rebellion against Aurangzeb. Similarly one gets to hear the stories of bravery of Maharaja Suraj Mal and his son Jawahar Singh. Jat rulers like Raja Nahar Singh, Hira Singh, Bhupinder Singh, Raghuveer Singh Jind, Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh have left an indelible mark. Swami Keshavanand participated in the freedom struggle and contributed significantly in the field of social reform. A large number of Jat community resides in Narmadanchal, Harda, Narmadapuram, Narsinghpur, Dewas, Dhar and Indore in Madhya Pradesh.

Chouhan also talked about taking necessary steps after examining the other suggestions given by the Jat community. He said that he got a lot of affection from the Jat community in his childhood. At the beginning of his public activities, he was guided by senior leader Vikram Verma. Thereafter Shri Kamal Patel joined him as a colleague. At the outset, Chouhan paid his respects at the picture of Tejaji Maharaj. Guests visiting the Jat Mahakumbh were welcomed.

Lakshminarayan (Pappu Bhai) Gora gave information about the contribution of the great personalities of the Jat community in his welcome speech on behalf of the Jat community. A short film was also screened in the Mahakumbh, in which the personalities symbolizing the courage and valor of the Jat community were mentioned.
