According to the official statement, “the Uttarakhand government has released SOPs for the prevention and black marketing of Amphotericin B, a black fungus medicine; the medication will be available only in dedicated Covid-19 Health Care Center Medical Colleges and only in state government agencies.”
According to the government order, the medication for case management, Amphotericin B, will only be given to DCH and medical colleges/institutions in the state of Uttarakhand, if available, and no other private or individual prescriptions will be accepted.
According to the order, consultants or doctors who requisition these drugs in the above hospitals must submit a report to the issuing authority in a specified format, properly filled and signed by them, and after payment.
As specified in the release, the need for the medication can be projected at any time during the working hours of the government offices.
In addition, the request/application for medication will be submitted by the treating doctor’s health care institution to the respective issuing body, i.e., the Kumaon and Garhwal nodal officers. The Director-General, Medical, and Health have appointed two nodal officers, one for the Kumaon and one for the Garhwal districts, who will be in charge of the storing and distribution of this medication in their respective regions.
The nodal officers will also ensure that the drug is sent to DCH and medical colleges or hospitals after payment.

The order also stated that the hospital must deposit any empty vials of used medication or any leftover medicine to the nodal officer.
