Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the upliftment of Sanskrit is the upliftment of the nation and Indian culture.
It is unfortunate that the upliftment of Sanskrit which was supposed to happen could not take place in the country due to the rule of outsiders.
Sanskrit was disrespected. Our culture, which talks about Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam and Sarva Kalyan, has been expressed in Sanskrit verses. Now the golden era of cultural upliftment has started in the country and we are able to serve Maa Sanskrit.
Chief Minister Chouhan was transferring the financial assistance amount to the Prachya Gurukuls affiliated to Maharishi Patanjali Sanskrit Sansthan from the auditoriuml of Samatva Bhavan located at CM’s residence today.
Chief Minister Chouhan transferred assistance amounting to Rs 2 crore 30 lakh to the accounts of students and principals of Sanskrit schools in the state with a single click.
CM Chouhan extends best wishes for Sanskrit Week
While congratulating Sanskrit teachers and students of Sanskrit on Sanskrit Week, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that- “If the soul of India is to be understood, then Sanskrit has to be understood. I am fortunate that I have got the opportunity to develop and promote Sanskrit. The characteristics of literature can be enjoyed only through Sanskrit. CM Shri Chouhan said in Sanskrit that “Samast-Pradeshvasinam Evam Deshvasinam Krite Sanskrit Saptahasya Hardik Shubhkamnaye.”(Heartiest greetings to all residents of state and country for Sanskrit Week).
It is noteworthy that from Dwadashi of Shravan month to Tritiya of Bhadra month (27th August to 2nd September) various activities are being organised during the Sanskrit Week.
President of Maharishi Patanjali Sansthan Bharat Bairagi said that the newly constructed Sanskrit building started in Madhya Pradesh’s capital Bhopal is unique in the whole country. There is no Sanskrit Bhawan in other states. Sanskrit schools of the state will attain glory. The arrangements of residential schools are also better here. For the promotion of Sanskrit, so much work has not been done anywhere else in the country. Chairman of Yoga Commission Ved Prakash Sharma and Commissioner Public Instruction Anubha Srivastava were present.
Elaborate provisions for financial assistance to Sanskrit institutions in the state
Necessary provisions have been made to provide financial assistance to Prachya Gurukuls (non-government residential schools) affiliated to Maharishi Patanjali Sanskrit Sansthan in the state.
Funds are provided for the benefit of the students studying in 90 non-government residential Sanskrit Prachya Vidyalayas currently running in the name of traditional Gurukuls in the state.
Financial assistance is given to the students for food, uniform, materials related to daily needs, textbooks and study materials.
There is a provision of providing Rs.8 thousand for classes 1 to 5 and Rs.10 thousand annually for classes 6 to 12 for the financial aid to students.
The rest of the expenditure on the students is borne by these private residential schools themselves.
For classes 1 to 5, out of 8 thousand rupees, 7400 rupees are given to the non-government residential school and 600 rupees are deposited in the student / parent’s account. Similarly, for classes 6 to 12, out of 10 thousand, 8 thousand 800 rupees are deposited in the non-government residential school and 1200 rupees in the student / parent’s account. Financial assistance is provided as per the prescribed procedure in case of non-government residential Sanskrit School is affiliated to Maharishi Patanjali Sanskrit Sansthan in the form of Prachya Vidyalaya.
Under this, every year there is a provision to provide financial assistance according to the number of students regularly admitted in the inspection report conducted by Maharishi Patanjali Sanskrit Sansthan.
In the calculation of the number of students, admitted students of class 1 to 4, Praveshika (class 5), Prathma (class 6, 7 and 8), Purva Madhyama (class 9 and 10) and Uttar Madhyama (class 11 and 12) are included.
After the commencement of the session, the amount of financial assistance of Rs 8 thousand (per student of class 1 to 5) and Rs 10 thousand (per student of class 6 to 12) is disbursed in the account through a transparent process after the examination by the institute.
