Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, has reportedly received death threats from an undisclosed source, warning that he only has ‘four days left’. The alert was issued on the Uttar Pradesh Police’s WhatsApp emergency dial number ‘112’. A report has been lodged with the Sushant Golf City police station, and attempts are being made to track down the phone number used to make the attack.

According to sources, the police have set up a surveillance unit to track down the man, as well as a team to arrest him. The warnings were made on the evening of April 29, according to police officials.

This isn’t the first time the UP chief minister has been threatened with death. Last year, calls targeting Adityanath were received in September, November, and December.

A 15-year-old teen, for example, sent a message to the Uttar Pradesh Police’s 112-helpline in November. The police tracked the juvenile’s phone number to Agra, where he was apprehended and transferred to a juvenile detention centre.

According to records, the adolescent was enraged by the state’s decision to close schools due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2017, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister was granted a VVIP armed security cover of category ‘Z+,’ with 25-28 armed commandos chasing him around. “The Chief Minister’s security has been beefed up, and he will now be escorted around the country by a large squad of CISF commandos. A similar commando contingent will be stationed at his official home, according to the news agency PTI.
