Union Home Minister Shah planted a Peepal sapling in memory of his late mother, Kusumben Shah, as part of the campaign.
Similarly, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav planted a banyan tree in memory of his late mother, Leela Poonamchand Yadav, and Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya planted a tree in memory of his late mother, Ayodhyadevi Vijayvargiya.
They not only planted saplings but also urged the public to join in protecting the environment by planting trees and taking a pledge to keep the Earth green.
On this occasion, Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development Savitri Thakur, local MP Shankar Lalwani, Rajya Sabha member Kavita Patidar, MLA Ramesh Mendola, Madhu Verma, Mahendra Hardiya, Golu Shukla and other public representatives and Divisional Commissioner Deepak Singh, IG Anurag, Police Commissioner Rakesh Gupt and Collector Ashish Singh were present.
