Two poachers give slip to forest team that held up them with suspected meat of Chital in Singrampur forest area in Damoh district of Madhya Pradesh on Monday night.
A team of Forest department during patrolling in the forest areas of Sigrampur under jurisdiction of Jabera police station in Damoh district of Madhya Pradesh held two poachers with suspected meat of Chital.
District Forest Officer Mahendra Uikey told local reporters about information was received on Monday night over poaching of Chital in Saipura Beat of village Sigrampur forest range of Damoh district.
The poachers hunted chital in the night and filled its meat in a sack and took the bike. On the way, the patrolling forest department team nabbed them and seized the meat, but two poachers manage to escape from the spot taking advantage of the darkness.
The accused identified are Sheikh Salim and Phulkar Kewat residents of Patan tehsil in Jabalpur district. The case is registered and further investigation is going on.
