Two brothers were arrested accused of raped their minor cousin sister and a grandmother in Jabalpur on Thursday.
Two brothers beaten up the minor sister aged 16 years, later admitted in the government hospital for treatment of vomiting and other ailments, the police said.
The minor girl died during intervening night of August 19-20 last.
The girl was buried by the family members as she was unmarried, the police said.
The two brothers are 21 and 22 years old were arrested on basis of a complaint lodged by the father of the deceased minor after he got suspicious about their activities.
The body of the girl was dug from the burial and sent for the postmortem, the report is awaited.
The 65-year-old grandmother was raped by the accused after she opposed them for their treatment with the minor.
The minor girl came to Jabalpur from Mumbai before Raksha Bandhan festival alongwith her grandmother.
The accused has criminal background certain cases are registered against them, the police said.
The accused persons are booked for rape, murder and under relevant sections of POCSO.
