Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that about 1500 transgenders of the state will get the benefit of equal opportunities in employment. For this, the departments have been informed about the new provisions by the concerned departments like the Social Justice Department and the General Administration Department.
For this, rule 12 of the Transgender (Protection of Rights) Rules 2021 in Madhya Pradesh mentions giving equal opportunity in sub-rule (1) of ‘equal opportunity in employment’.
Now transgenders will also be entitled to equality with normal men and women in the recruitment of government posts in the state. This is a historic decision. Only selected states in the country have such a system. Chouhan, after planting saplings in the garden located at Shyamala Hills, will be watching T.V. The channels were discussing with the representatives.
