Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Madhya Pradesh is now also a Cheetah state. Cheetahs have been brought from Africa and settled in Kuno Palpur. In the field of wildlife tourism, it will be ensured that local residents get employment through various works. In Kuno Palpur, the poor brothers and sisters of the special backward tribe Saharia will get employment through tourism. From the month of February, tourists will start getting the facility to see Cheetah in Kuno Palpur. Cheetahs have liked the climate and environment of this region. The number of cheetahs will also increase and work will be done to increase the tourism importance of this area by providing basic facilities to the tourists.
CM Chouhan was discussing with NRIs and investors in the second session of Youth Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention in Indore.
Chief Minister Chouhan said there are vast employment opportunities in the tourism sector in Madhya Pradesh. Apart from Indore and Bhopal, other cities are also becoming centres for development of hotel industry, promotion of tourism sector and facilities for tourists coming for wildlife viewing.
During discussion with Shri Ritesh Agarwal of OYO Rooms, Chief Minister Chouhan said that in case of big investment by the company, the facility of customized package and promotion for home-stay and wellness tourism will be done as per the policy.
He said, the company is also participating in the Shivganga project. OYO Rooms will be fully supported to set up budget and boutique hotels in Madhya Pradesh and offer rural home-stays in lesser-known destinations.
CM Chouhan tells the merits of food processing and storage sector
Chief Minister Chouhan said that he meets industrialists every week in Madhya Pradesh. Industrialists are also coming forward to invest in the food processing sector. Apart from millets Jowar, Bajra of Madhya Pradesh, many organic products like mustard, garlic, orange, ginger, tomato have a distinct identity in the market. Single clove garlic has been popular in the Malwa region. The export of Sharbati wheat from Madhya Pradesh is increasing. Madhya Pradesh is becoming a hub in the logistics sector. New investors are being encouraged in these sectors.
Healthcare Innovation Corridor initiative in collaboration with Singapore
Chief Minister Chouhan said that there is a provision to provide necessary facilities on investment in various sectors in the state. Approvals are given through a transparent process. Dr. Anand Govindaluri, Chairman of Singapore’s Govinda Holdings met Chief Minister Chouhan and informed that he is a health and biotech investor. About two dozen companies are being operated, including two unicorns. The company is engaged in the business of education and venture investment in entrepreneurship, supply chain in the pharma sector. The lesson learned from the Corona Pandemic was that health prevention should be given priority. A health care innovation corridor can be created. This Singapore company has already invested in Maharashtra and Goa. There is an intention to educate children with book knowledge along with toys and to build a signature building in the MSME sector in Indore.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that after the establishment of Global Skill Park in Bhopal with the help of Singapore, investment will be encouraged in this area by taking the help of Singapore companies. The state government will extend full cooperation in this work.
Proposal of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Chief Minister Chouhan was called on by President of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Niwas Ragwan and he gave details of the business being done by the company. The Kuala Lumpur & Selangor Indian Chamber of Commerce is working for the various industrial and business interests of the Malaysian Indian community.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that necessary cooperation will be provided to the Malaysian companies for investment in electronics, semiconductors, medical equipment, pharma sector, telecommunication products and petrochemicals etc. in Madhya Pradesh.
Apache Polymers makes proposal of Rs. 110 crore
Chief Minister Chouhan was called on by an entrepreneur from California USA Sanjay Goyal and he informed about the proposal to set up a polymer compounding manufacturing unit near Indore. There will be a proposed investment of Rs. 110 crore in this unit and more than 300 people will get employment. Various Patented Technology Products are being worked on by Apache Polymers. Chief Minister Chouhan assured necessary facilities would be provided to this industrial institute by the state government.
Atul Upadhyay, Managing Director of Star Overseas Pvt Ltd, who came from Moscow, met Chief Minister Chouhan. The company is engaged in the supply and manufacture of Electric Buses, Trolley Buses and Tramways etc. Chief Minister Chouhan talked about taking cooperation from the company after examining the possibilities of work in Madhya Pradesh. Hitesh Bhavnani of YMRM Group met Chief Minister Chouhan and informed about the work being done in the textile sector.
Chief Minister Chouhan was informed that the company has achieved the success of operating textile malls and being popular in different countries as a popular textile retailer brand. The company is keen to invest in Madhya Pradesh. Shri Sanjay Tripathi, an entrepreneur from Datia region settled in Washington, met Chief Minister Shri Chouhan and told that he is running two companies. He wants to work for back end office support for works like Work from Home, Digital Marketing in the field of Information Technology in Madhya Pradesh. Similarly, representatives of Arabia Group also informed about investment proposals.
On the occasion of meeting of investors with Chief Minister Chouhan, Ministers were also present in both the sessions. Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra, Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Minister Rajvardhan Singh Dattigaon, Science and Technology and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Shri Omprakash Sakhlecha, Additional Chief Secretary Mohammad Suleman, Principal Secretary Manish Singh, State Industrial Development Corporation Managing Director Manish Singh, Industries Commissioner P Narhari and other officers were present during the discussion.
