Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the Works Department should practically fix the time limit for its works keeping in view the permissions received from various departments, the time taken for land acquisition and other technical difficulties. Along with this, initiatives should be taken by the departments themselves to solve the inter-departmental problems. The progress of the state is affected by the deadlock in construction works.
Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the review meeting of projects under the Project Management Framework. Additional Chief Secretary Water Resources S.N. Mishra, Principal Secretary Public Works Neeraj Mandloi and other officers were present.
In the meeting, Pagra dam and Pancham Nagar barrage on Bewas river in Banda tehsil of Sagar district, water supply scheme for 79 villages under Rajond Multi Village Water Supply Scheme in Dhar district, water supply schemes Amla, Betul Bazar and Sarni of Betul district under Madhya Pradesh Urban Development Company Limited and Bhind district’s Alampur, Daboh, Mihona, Phufkalan water supply scheme and ongoing activities for upgradation and reconstruction of Dr. Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Nagar Marg (Kolar Road) of Bhopal were reviewed.
Chief Minister Chouhan gave instructions to speed up the construction works by promptly resolving the problems coming up at the local level, ensuring quality work.
