Words have many meanings and phase are meant to be used to show-cast your vocabulary in election but what happen when your own lines creates problem and this time its Sidhu whose ” Thoko” words create problem because BJP didnt get the term Thoko of Sidhu and they created whole drama out of the words. The ruling BJP demanded an apology from Congress leader and Punjab minister Navjot Singh Sidhu on Sunday for his alleged offensive remark against the woman mayor of Indore in Madhya Pradesh.
Women workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) staged a silent protest in front of the statue of Devi Ahilya near the Rajwada Palace here.
“Taali thoko aur iske sath mahapaur ko bhi thoko (clap your hands and also hit the mayor),” he had said, accusing Gaur and the municipal administration of demolishing people’s houses without paying them compensation
Taali thoko (clap your hands) is Sidhu’s famous refrain on a television comedy show where he appears.
BJP spokesperson Meenakshi Lekhi called Sidhu “Mr Stupid” and demanded his apology over the “obscene remark”.
If one watches Sidhu for long his ” thoko” word is very common in his day to day life. Being on Tv show or addressing people he never miss the word saying thoko but this time BJP got a one more chance to bring down Sidhu.
In election words play important part because a single words can make a big problem and one should think around way also that this might be just there way to rise the less important topic and hide the real deal from it. As we people facing so many problems but our ruling party is just keeping an eye on what Sidhu said or what his party is doing. These political parties think people are blind enough but hope this time people will open there eyes and vote wisely.
