Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that there is no shortage of funds for public welfare and development in his government and the government is providing gas cylinders for Rs 450 to Ladli sisters and Ujjwala gas connection holders along with helping the poor in building houses under the CM Awas Yojana.
Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing a public meeting at Madhavganj in Vidisha on Tuesday.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the previous government not only stopped public welfare schemes citing lack of funds but also stopped development works.
He said that today, along with starting all the closed schemes, his government has created a unique Ladli Behna for women empowerment. The plan has been started.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that he runs the government like a family, not as a Chief Minister but as maternal uncle (mama () and brother (bhai), only then he is able to provide welfare to the people.
He said that they are fortunate that today they have one crore 32 lakh sisters and they will deposit Rs 16 thousand crore in their accounts every year.
The Chief Minister said that currently it has been done at Rs 1250 and he will gradually increase the amount from Rs 250 to Rs 3000.
The Chief Minister said that he has given honor and respect to the sisters, not money, now the respect of the sisters has increased in their home, family and society.
He said that a resolution has been taken in the form of CM Awas Yojana and those poor who do not have a house and their names have not been included in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana will also be given funds for permanent houses. He said that he has started the work of filling the form.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the government is taking care of its children by giving them bicycles, scooties and laptops for studies.
The Chief Minister said that the government is paying the fees for courses like medical engineering of meritorious students from poor families with income up to Rs 8 lakh.
Along with starting medical and engineering studies in the state in Hindi, the government has also given 5 percent reservation for medical admission to students of government schools.
