Today in Chennai, his daughter, Soundarya, Rajinikanth, 70 years old, had his COVID-19 vaccine shot. Soundarya has written in a tweet: “Our Thalivar has received his Vaccine. Let us struggle together against this battle on the Coronavirus.” She posted an image of the super-star, veiled, taken in the PPE kit by a doctor. What Rajinikanth vaccination is obtained is unclear or his first or second dose is not clear. Many famous people, including Rajinikanth’s longstanding friend and colleague Kamal Haasan, share vaccines. India is now facing a harsh 2nd COVID wave exacerbated by a number of vaccine shortages- this is the recent expansion of the vaccine drive by the government to cover those aged 18 and over.
His first March Vaccine was taken by Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth co-star in films such as Moondru Mudichu. The actor-politician, who formed his own political party and contested in last month’s election in the Tamil Nadu Assembly, announced in Tamil that he was vaccinated: “In Sri Ramachandra Hospital, I took the coronavirus vaccine. Those that fear themselves and others should be immunized. Immunization of the body (and) bribery immediately (and) next month. Get prepared. Get ready.”
Like Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth was also supposed to make his own political debut, but he backed up after a health fear last December when he was hospitalized for a spell.
After returning from Hyderabad to Chennai where he was filming his latest project Annaatthe, Rajinikanth, the winner of the Dada Saheb Phalke Award this year, shot a pattern every Wednesday.
