Kasganj: On Friday, a clash between two factions in Kasganj in Uttar Pradesh has taken a violent turn. Violence erupted on Friday even as the Friday incident occurred. After the last rites of the deceased youth, a large group of people got down on the violence. While a group set fire to some shops in the main market of the city and the other group broke the shops at some distance and handed over two buses to the fire. let us tell you that violence was triggered by stone throwing on the Tri-color rally being organized by activists of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, where a teenager was killed in two-way firing.
Chandan Gupta, 22, was killed in an encounter between two factions in the city, 170 kilometer away from the capital city of Delhi. This incident happened when the Tricolor Bike Rally was being organized by activists of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and All India Students. One person, named Naushad, was also injured in this fight, who has been admitted to the hospital.
Police said that two shops tried to set fire after the demolition, after which fire brigades were called on the spot. At the end of the day, Kasganj District Magistrate RP Singh said that the police arrested 49 persons in this case. Senior police officers of western Uttar Pradesh have also reached the spot in Kashgun to control the condition. RP Singh said that Section 144 has been imposed and the police force deployed in adequate number of police forces has been imposed in order to stop the arresting of people in the whole city. Earlier, the police had said that a complaint was lodged in Kasganj police station and nine people involved in the incident were arrested till now. The district administration had imposed curfew yesterday in the violence-hit region. District Magistrate RP Singh told that 22 year old Chandan Gupta was killed in the firing while two others were injured in stone pelting.
Police told that some unknown miscreants had pelted stones at a motorcycle rally on the occasion of Republic Day. Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Anand Kumar said yesterday that the incidents of stone pelting do not seem planned, but all this happened suddenly. The District Magistrate, Superintendent of Police, Rapid Action Force (RAF) and PAC have been sent on the spot.
He said that those who created the disturbances are being identified and strict action will be taken against them. The district administration has taken control over the situation but unable to find out the situation, additional force will be called.
