The Telangana government on Tuesday decided to prolong the present COVID-19 lockdown for another ten days, with relaxations from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day.
The current curfew was supposed to end on June 9th.
Given the intensity of the number of instances everyday, bordering areas like as Khammam, Nalgonda, and Nagarjuna Sagar, among others, will continue to enjoy relaxation up to 2 PM only, according to an official announcement.

According to the statement, the cabinet also agreed to grant relaxation from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the lockdown, as well as a one-hour grace time till 6 p.m. for individuals to return home.
It may be noted that presently, the lockdown relaxations have been given between 6 am- 1 pm and a relaxation period of one hour till 2 pm
In Satthupalli, Madhira, Nalgonda, Nagarjuna Sagar, Munugode, Devarakonda, Miryalguda Assembly segments, the cabinet decided to extend the existing lockdown in light of the COVID-19 situation in these areas.
The lockdown is now being loosened every day from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a one-hour grace time from 2 p.m. to 2 p.m. enabling individuals to return home.
Ration cards will be issued to roughly 4.50 lakh persons who have previously applied for them, according to the Cabinet.
Meanwhile, 1,897 additional COVID-19 instances were reported in Telangana, bringing the total to 5,95,000. According to the state health department, the death toll in the state has risen to 3,409, with 15 additional deaths. So far, more than 5.67 lakh individuals have recovered from the deadly epidemic, with 24,306 cases still active in the state. Until 9 p.m. Monday, a total of 1,66,818 persons had been vaccinated.
