Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that prompt action should be taken on complaints related to corruption in various departments.
Strict action should be taken against the culprits where the process is complete.
This work should be completed by June 15. The state government is firm on zero tolerance on the issue of corruption. Corrupt practices will not be tolerated at any cost.
From March 15 till now, sanction for prosecution has been given against 119 guilty officers and employees in 75 cases. Action will be taken soon in other cases also.
Chouhan was reviewing the department-wise cases of sanction for prosecution today.
Chouhan said that he himself would seek information about the action taken by the departments after June 15. If the department delays action against the culprits in any case, action will be taken against the concerned officer as well.
It was informed that sanction for prosecution has been given in maximum 23 cases in the Panchayat and Rural Development Department. Apart from this, approval has been given in 12 cases in Revenue, 9 in Urban Development and Housing, 8 in Health, 6 each in Home and Agriculture Department and 4 in Food and Civil Supplies Department. Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains and senior officers were present.
