Madhya Pradesh Gaupalan avam Pashudhan Samvardhan Board president Swami Akhileshwaranand Giri said ‘I celebrated ‘Cow Hug Day’ today by opposing the Valentine Day.
He said the Valentine day is against our cultural tradition.
Swamiji have hugs with the cows in his gaushala in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday.
The Valentine Day observed mostly by the youth, has little to do with natural bonding between two individuals, he said.
As per Indian tradition, currently Basant Utsav is being observed, the youth should celebrate with enthusiasm and develop bonding and care for animals, he appealed to the youth.
He cautioned the youth to be alert while in love as it should not turn into lust, this will only tarnish their reputation.
