Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the restoration of Kolgarhi to give respect, honour and dignity to the Kol community.
Today is a historic day for Tyonthar. More than Rs 3 crore has been sanctioned for the restoration of Kolgarhi.
Statues of Lord Birsa Munda and Mata Shabri will be installed in Kolgarhi and a ghat will also be constructed in the Tamas river. Kol Bhawan will be constructed in Rewa, where the children of Kol Samaj will get the facility to stay.
Chouhan attended the huge Kol Tribal Convention at Tyonthar in Rewa district today.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that today land rights letters have been provided to more than 3 thousand beneficiaries. They will also be given the facility of accommodation along with the residential rights letter. Saturday, June 10, will be a historic day for the state. On this day, Rs one thousand will be transferred to the accounts of more than one crore 25 lakh sisters eligible under Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana.
Ladli Utsav will be held in all Gram Panchayats and every ward of the city, which is like the beginning of a golden age for women. The interest waiver amount will be transferred to the farmers on June 13. Along with this, the amount of Kisan Samman Nidhi will also be released to the farmers. On this day, an amount of Rs 2300 crore will also be released to the farmers under the Crop Insurance Scheme. He said that my life is for the service of the poor. I will live for them and die for them too.
Chouhan provided land rights letters to the beneficiaries in the Tribal Conference. Earlier, the Chief Minister performed bhoomi-pujan of renovation of Kolgarhi and Teonthar Lift Irrigation Project. The CM honoured the daughters by performing Kanya Pujan. He offered floral tributes to Mata Shabri and Lord Birsa Munda.
Rewa MP Janardan Mishra said that Chief Minister Chouhan got memorials made for tribal heroes like Tantya Bhil and Rani Kamalapati. Now he has given a great gift to the entire area by performing bhoomi-pujan for the renovation of Kolgarhi. There is no one like the Chief Minister who cares for the tribal brothers.
MLA Teonthar Shyamlal Dwivedi welcomed the guests. Describing the historical importance of Kolgarhi, he expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for its restoration.
He demanded construction of Chaura Ghat and construction of bridge at Neer Gehri Ghat and creation of tehsil in Raipur Sonori. District Panchayat President Neeta Kol said that today is a historic day full of happiness for Teonthar. Today Chief Minister Chouhan has fulfilled the age-old demand of Kol Samaj for the renovation of Kolgarhi.
