Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is going to unveil the statue of former MP Late Nand Kumar Singh Chauhan at Shahpur in Burhanpur on March 17.

Along with this, an amount of Rs 300 crore will also be distributed to the backward class students under the Post Matric Scholarship Scheme.

Chouhan obtained virtual information about the preparations being made by the district administration Burhanpur for the programme.

As per the schedule, Chouhan will inaugurate three development works costing Rs. 7 crore 31 lakh and also lay the foundation stone of seven works costing Rs. 69 crore 73 lakh in Burhanpur district.

The Chief Minister will hand over the keys of tractors and scooties to the Didis associated with the Rural Livelihood Mission. Artificial limbs will also be distributed to the disabled by the Department of Social Justice and Disabled People’s Welfare.

The Chief Minister will provide laptops to the beneficiaries under the Disabled Education Promotion Scheme.

Conference of tribal class and Ladli Bahna in Khargone

Chouhan will attend the PESA Rules Awareness Conference in Khargone on March 17 in which Patel and Pujara along with representatives of the tribal section of 713 Gram Sabhas related to PESA Rules will also participate.

A large number of Ladli Bahna will also participate in the conference. Chouhan will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of development works costing about Rs. 250 crore.

Development exhibition will also be organised in the programme and officers and employees doing best work will be rewarded.

Chief Minister Chouhan instructed the Khargone Collector that the law and order situation in the district should remain strong.

Strict action should be taken against the elements who create disturbance on the festival.
