Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav urged Union Minister Piyush Goyal to extend support in organizing Saree Walkathon in the state for promotion of Chanderi, Maheshwari and Bagh prints.
The Union Minister assured all possible assistance from the Textiles Ministry to the state government for organizing the Saree Walkathon.
To make the Saree Walkathon successful, the Union Minister suggested involving local celebrities, local RJs and social media influencers.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav presented the outline of the training proposals under the National Technical Textile Mission before the Union Minister.
He said that Mukhyamantri Sikho Kamao Yojana is also being run in the state in which the youth of the state are being given training along with stipend.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav requested to register various textile mills under the scheme so that benefits can be provided to the women of tribal areas.
Union Minister Shri Goyal instructed the officials of the Ministry to prepare a database of textile mills.
He said that by linking the state’s Sikho Kamao scheme with the Central Government’s Samarth scheme, womens’ self-help groups in the tribal areas can be immensely benefit.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also had a detailed discussion with Shri Goyal regarding Rabi procurement. He said that arrival of wheat will start in the mandis of the state and registration of farmers will be started for procurement.
Union Minister Goyal said that farmers will get minimum support price at all cost.
No farmer will be deprived of procurement at minimum support price and priority should be given to procurement from small and marginal farmers and forest land title holders.
He instructed the concerning officials to open procurement centers within a week to procure maximum wheat by the Food Corporation of India.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav paid a courtesy visit to Union Commerce and Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and Textiles Minister Goyal in Delhi and discussed with him issues related to his ministries.
During the meeting, topics like PM Mitra Park in Dhar, organization of Saree Walkathon, training proposal under National Technical Textile Mission, training of tribal women under Mukhyamantri Sikho Kamao Yojana and Rabi procurement were discussed.
