Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that Madhya Pradesh is making its special identity in the field of solar energy. Madhya Pradesh is becoming the first choice of industrialists for setting up solar projects.
He said that in the fourth Global Meet Renewable Energy Investor Meet organized in Gandhi Nagar, industrialists showed interest in setting up their projects in Madhya Pradesh.
Due to the solar projects being operated in Madhya Pradesh, the “Heart of Incredible India” is moving towards the vision of becoming the “Lungs of Incredible India” by working in the field of renewable energy.
Madhya Pradesh is continuously doing remarkable work in the field of renewable energy. The world’s largest floating solar project is being prepared in Omkareshwar.
The solar project established in Rewa in 1590 hectares is one of the world’s largest single side solar plants. Now the state has taken another new initiative.
An agreement has been reached on the project related to joint adventure of 8 thousand megawatt solar energy generation in PPP mode in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
In this, solar projects will be set up in Morena, Shivpuri, Sagar and Dhar, the electricity generated from which can be used for irrigation in both the states.
Today, 7 thousand megawatt solar energy is being generated in Madhya Pradesh. The share of renewable energy in the total energy capacity has increased to 21 percent. In the year 2012, the solar energy capacity was only 500 megawatt.
The state has registered a remarkable growth of 14 percent in the field of solar energy in a period of just 12 years.
The state government is continuously working towards achieving the target of increasing it to 20 thousand megawatt by the year 2030.
In the fourth Global Renewable Energy Investor Summit held in Gandhi Nagar, industrialists held one-to-one discussions with Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. Avaada Group gave investment proposals of Rs 5 thousand crore in the state. Renew Power also showed interest in investing Rs 6 thousand crore in the state.
In one-to-one discussions, heads of Wind Power Association, Hero Future Energy, Torrent Power, Shakti Pumps, Singapore’s Sembcorp, Waaree Energy, Serentica, Shell Group Suzlon, Welspun, Vena Energy, Blue Leaf Borosil Group, State Craft have shown interest in Madhya Pradesh.
