A total of 7 thousand 790 students of the state will be benefited under the free scooty distribution scheme this year, including 4 thousand 806 students who have opted for petrol scooty and 2 thousand 984 students who have opted for e-scooty. An amount of Rs 90 thousand per student has been approved by the state government for the students who have selected petrol scooty and Rs 1 lakh 20 thousand per student for the students who have selected e-scooty, in this way a total of 7 thousand 790 beneficiary students have been provided with scooty. An amount of Rs 79 crore 6 lakh 20 thousand has been approved for this. Tribal Affairs Minister Sushri Meena Singh will also be present in the state level programme.
It is worth mentioning that under the free scooty distribution scheme, funds will be provided for the purchase of e-scooty/(motorized) scooty to the students who have secured first position in the session 2022-23 in government higher secondary schools run in the state. Under this scheme, such students will be eligible, who study as regular students in Government Higher Secondary School run under School Education Department and Tribal Affairs Department of the State and pass Higher Secondary (Class 12th) of Board of Secondary Education (MP Board). ) Should have secured first position in the examination in any discipline by topping as a regular examinee in his school.
