Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that new dimensions are being established for the prosperity and betterment of the farmers of the state.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inclination towards the farmers is apparent through the public welfare schemes.

Prime Minister Modi will transfer the second installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (for 2024-25) on October 29. An assistance amount of Rs 1624 crore will be transferred to more than 81 lakh farmers of the state.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that along with Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, the state government is also providing benefits to the farmers under Mukhya Mantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana. In both the schemes, farmers are being provided a benefit of Rs 12000 every year cumulatively.

Till now an additional amount of Rs 41 thousand 200 crore has been deposited in the bank accounts of the farmers of Madhya Pradesh.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that provision of Rs 66 thousand 605 crore made for agriculture and allied sectors in the budget 2024-25. the scheme of giving short-term crop loans to farmers at zero percent interest rate has been continued to boost agricultural productivity.

A provision of Rs 600 crore has been made for this which will benefit more than 32 lakh farmers. A target of crop loan distribution of Rs 23 thousand crore has been set in 2024-25.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that for the first time in the history of Crop Insurance Scheme, the government paid the claims for the farmers in the state before the last date of loan repayment (28th March) and saved the farmers from the penalty of paying unnecessary interest. Farmers were also given a bonus of Rs 125 per quintal on wheat procured at support price.

In Rabi marketing year 2024-25, more than 48 lakh 35 thousand metric tonnes of wheat was procured from more than 6 lakh farmers at support price.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that a decision has been taken to provide a subsidy of Rs 24 thousand 420 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Krishak Mitra Surya Yojana to provide relief in electricity bills to domestic and agricultural consumers for the financial year 2024-25.

Under Atal Krishi Jyoti Yojana, subsidies in energy charges given to farmers with power up to 10 horse-power. A provision of Rs 11 thousand 65 crore has been made in this scheme in the current financial year.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that soybean is being procured from 1400 centers established in the state at the support price fixed by the Central Government. Procurement is being done through the e-procurement portal.

Arrangements have been made for online payment to farmers for the procured soybean.

Three lakh 44 thousand farmers have registered themselves for soybean procurement in the state. Soybean is being procured in all the districts of the state except 7 districts of Datia, Bhind, Katni, Mandla, Balaghat, Sidhi, and Singrauli.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government has started the ‘Rani Durgavati Shri Anna Protsahan Yojana’. Millet farmers will benefit from this scheme.

Under the scheme, in addition to the minimum purchase price paid to the farmers on the production of Kodo-Kutki, Rs 1000 per quintal will be provided to them as assistance under the Direct Benefit Transfer Scheme.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that there is adequate availability of fertilizers in the state and there is no shortage. Farmers are getting the required quantity of fertilizer.

Every day 5 racks of Urea, 2 racks of DAP, and 2 racks of NPK are arriving in the state.

Last year, 1.89 lakh metric tonnes of DAP and NPK was received in October 2023, this year around 2.70 lakh metric tonnes have been received so far in October.

A stock of 5.20 lakh metric tonnes of urea and about 2.80 lakh metric tonnes of DAP and NPK is available in the state.

There is adequate availability of fertilizer in all the districts of the state. Fertilizer is being supplied as per demand.
