On Thursday evening, Madhya Pradesh state aviation department Beech Craft King Air B-250 GT carrying Remdesivir injections from Indore for Covid-19 patients crashed landed at Gwalior airport.
Captain Majid Akhtar and the co-pilot were among the three people injured. They were taken to the IAF hospital on the Maharajpur airbase and are said to be in good health.
“They are in a stable condition. We are not in a position to comment on the exact reason behind the mishap,” said Gwalior collector Kushlendra Vikram Singh.
The injections were safely extracted. The event is thought to be connected to the aircraft arrester barrier, and a concern with the aircraft’s career is also assumed.
The Rs.65-crore aircraft was purchased a year ago, replacing an older aircraft that had become dilapidated and needed about Rs 8 crore in annual maintenance. It has a maximum capacity of nine passengers. Officials said the aircraft can be used for a variety of purposes, including air surveys and as an air ambulance, and that it is fitted with cutting-edge technology and has a top speed of 575 kilometer per hour.
After receiving clearance from the Director-General of Civil Aviation, the former Kamal Nath government issued tenders for the purchase of this aircraft. The American aircraft manufacturer was sending two pilots and two mechanics for instruction.
Officials claim that this aircraft can fly up to 35,000 feet in altitude and has a new flight control system with a glass cockpit, making it one of the finest business class aircraft in the world.
