The start-ups will act as a foundation to fulfill the vision 2047 of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. It is the fastest growing ecosystem in India. This was stated by the Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Omprakash Sakhlecha in the session “MP Start-up Ecosystem” at the Brilliant Convention Centre on the second day of the Global Investors Summit. Minister Sakhlecha said that the Start-up Policy and Implementation Plan 2022 in Madhya Pradesh has provided the basis for start-ups to grow and develop.
A start-up centre has been set-up in Bhopal to support start-ups. Soon a start-up centre will be opened in Indore as well. Along with giving grants to start-ups, funds are also arranged for them. In this way, there is big potential for the development of start-up ecosystem in Madhya Pradesh. Minister Sakhlecha also appealed to all the young entrepreneurs to begin start-ups in the state.
Anurag Jain, Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, said that within 6 years since 2016, the youths of India have made the start-up ecosystem the third largest in the world. It is the fastest growing ecosystem in the world. Start-ups in India are now creating a generation that gives employment, not a generation that seeks employment. He also appealed to all the investors to become a partner in the development of the state by investing in the start-up ecosystem.
Industry Commissioner and Secretary MSME P. Narhari, explaining the features of Madhya Pradesh’s start-up ecosystem, said that there are 2 thousand 597 DBIT recognised start-ups in the state, out of which one thousand 143 start-ups are of women. There are more possibilities of agriculture, food and product based start-ups in the state. School students are also given information about skill training and start-ups in the state. The start-up portal of the state is integrated with the portal of the Government of India. Where young entrepreneurs get start-up related information, training, grants and policy related information.
In the session, Indian Angel Limited Founder MD Padmaja Ruparel, Pratap Snacks Founder MD Amit Kumath, Ship Rocket Co-Founder Vishesh Khurana and Unicorn India Venture Founder MD Anil Joshi explained the benefits of Madhya Pradesh start-up policy to all the investors and narrated the success story of start-ups in Madhya Pradesh. He informed that all kinds of requirements, facilities and grants to begin a start-up are available in Madhya Pradesh. He also appealed to all the young entrepreneurs to increase start-ups in Madhya Pradesh and invest in them.
