Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav highlighted the role of sports in fostering discipline, self-confidence, intellectual sharpness, fearlessness, and attentiveness within individuals.
He noted that Madhya Pradesh achieved fourth place in the Khelo India Youth Games, with the state earning 15 medals in shooting and contributing significantly to the Indian hockey team in the Olympics.
Currently, 11 academies across 18 sports disciplines are operating within the state, a matter of great pride.
Dr. Yadav announced an allocation of Rs 15 crore for the establishment of a Sports College in Satna, along with an additional Rs 7 crore for constructing a synthetic track.
He also instructed the District Collector to prioritize the construction of a boundary wall and other necessary facilities.
The Chief Minister made these remarks at the closing ceremony of the 35th All India Sports (Athletics) Festival 2024, organized by the Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan (All India Education Institute) in Satna.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. Cultural programmes were also presented on this occasion.
CM Dr. Yadav also distributed prizes to the winners of the 35th All India Sports (Athletics) Competition.
Information about the activities conducted by the Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan was also given in the programme.

Rani Durgavati fought 51 battles on the strength of the sword and won all of them.
Rani Durgavati, Rani Avantibai, Rani Lakshmibai and Rani Ahilyabai, along with setting examples in the field of protection of the motherland and good governance, also made significant contributions in the expansion of Sanatan culture.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that like Makar Sankranti, Gudi Padwa, Guru Purnima, the state government also celebrated Dussehra with great pomp. In Indian culture, both weapons and scriptures have been given equal importance.
Expressing this feeling, weapon worship was performed in all police lines, police stations and armory on Dussehra.
Festivals have special importance in Indian culture, Deepawali and Govardhan Puja will also be celebrated with great pomp by the state government.
