Indore. Self-stlyed profound guru Bhayyu ji Maharaj kicked the bucket in the wake of shooting himself in his head in Indore on Tuesday, stunning a large number of his adherents crosswise over India.
He was taken to the Bombay Hospital where specialists proclaimed him brought dead.
Avadhesh Goswami, Indore administrator of police (east), affirmed his passing.
In April 2018, Madhya Pradesh’s Bharatiya Janata Party government gave Bhayyu ji Maharaj and four different religious pioneers the status of priest of state rank.
Bhayyu ji, 50, had interceded between the United Progressive Alliance government and Anna Hazare amid the counter defilement crusader’s development to engage the Lokpal,the guard dog against fixes, in 2011.
Bhayyu ji Maharaj, as supporters called Uday Singh Deshmukh, had prominent following in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, said news office PTI.
His ashram is arranged in Indore city and best political pioneers like Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and big names like vocalist Lata Mangeshkar among others are his pupils.
A huge number of supporters gathered outside the hospital where he was admitted after the news of his death spread.
“The exact cause behind the incident is not known yet. Probe into the incident is on while the body is being taken to MY Hospital for autopsy,” said Indore Collector Nishant Varvade.
“A post holds no importance for a saint”, news agency IANS had quoted Maharaj as saying. “All he has ought to think of is service to the people. When a post or status does not touch your mind, intellect or conscience, why think about it.”
