Son of a daily wager, his father Barnana Gunnaya ensured that he got his son educated even when he could earn a petty amount of Rs. 100 daily.
His audacious son is an alumni of the prestigious International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Hyderabad, which is also their hometown.
A techno enthusiast, Barnana Yadagiri said no to multiple job offers in India and abroad, ditched the job offers in US and dumped all the calls and offers he got from the IIMs and decided to serve the motherland by joining the eminent services of the Indian Army.
Barnana comes from a life full of struggles, and financial hardships. His mother is a polio afflict , and he says “I have seen days when father used to earn only Rs.50-60 a day, but money has never tempted me”.
He got himself to serve the nation for the pride, honor, and satisfaction one feels in serving their motherland.
He has received a lot of awards and honors in his career till date.
IMA’s silver medal for securing first position in the order of merit for Technical Graduate Course. If the sources are to be believed, he has recently been honored with a silver medal by the illustrious Indian Military Academy.
His parents take pride in calling Barnana their son. They say they were unaware a day before the Indian Army Officer’s parade, and were delighted, touched, amused and were moved to tears when they saw their son in the parade as an Army officer.
