On Monday, an aircraft carrying the first shipment of 184 oxygen concentrators arrived in India from Ukraine, as the country battles the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic.
“Thank Ukraine for first shipment of 184 oxygen concentrators that arrived early this morning,” tweeted Arindam Bagchi, spokesperson, Ministry of External Affairs.
Several countries have offered to assist India in its fight against the second wave of Covid-19.
The United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, and France have provided medical aid and assistance to India in the form of oxygen concentrators, ventilators, vaccine raw materials, and personal protective equipment (PPE) kits.
Meanwhile, India reported the lowest single-day Covid-19 increase in 46 days on Sunday, with 1,65,553 cases reported in the last 24 hours, while 3,460 people died from the infection, bringing the total Covid-related death toll to 3,25,972.
The total number of Covid-19 cases has risen to 2,78,94,800, with a daily positivity rate of 8.02 percent, which is less than 10% for the sixth consecutive day.
