Shamita Shetty joined the Bigg Boss OTT house as a competitor on Sunday. She was on Bigg Boss 3 in 2009, but had to leave halfway through to attend her sister Shilpa Shetty’s wedding to Raj Kundra. As Shamita embarks on her Bigg Boss OTT journey, here’s a look back at Shilpa’s 2009 blog piece, in which she confesses to attempting to get Shamita to drop out of Bigg Boss 3. Shilpa was a contestant on Celebrity Big Brother, the British edition of the show, in 2007.
“Ok! My sister Shamita has been spotted in the Bigg Boss house. When she told me she was going in, I hurried to spend the last two days before she left, trying to discourage her; considering she’ll be gone for three months if she survives,” Shilpa said on her blog, according to PTI.
Shilpa, on the other hand, complimented Shamita’s decision to compete in Bigg Boss 3 as “extremely daring.” “She had her reasons for participating; she saw it as a perfect opportunity to put herself and her patience to the test. She was “extremely brave,” she said, “because trust me, it takes a lot of guts given she’s an introvert and very private.”
