Actors and actresses are never given the freedom to do anything they want for personal or professional reasons. They often suffer backlash from the public for portraying a character who offends them.
Samantha Akkineni is currently in hot water with the Tamil Nadu people. It is commonly known that the online series “Family Man-2,” which will premiere on June 4th, will not be warmly received by the Tamil public since it contains anti-Tamil Eelam undertones. They’ve also urged that the show be banned. But, since nothing seems to be working, people started using the hashtag #ShameOnYouSamantha to spread the word.
For the sake of Tamil sensitivities, the Tamil Nadu government has recommended that the series be banned by the I and B Ministry.
However, this online series is receiving a lot of attention as a result of this row, and the creators must be enjoying it. On the other hand, you never know when or how injured feelings will backfire.
Manoj Bajpayee, the series’ major character, has deftly dodged questions about the issue, claiming that the program was developed by a team dominated by Tamilians, including actresses Priyamani and Samantha Akkineni, as well as writer Suman, all of whom have a deep respect for Tamil culture. Samantha Akkineni, a Tamil actress by birth, is now in difficulty.
