Physical lessons for pupils in Classes 9 and 10 will be offered once a week beginning August 5, according to the SOP issued last week. Students in Classes 11 and 12 will have classes twice a week, with virtual sessions running concurrently.
Students in Class 11 will go to school on Tuesdays and Fridays, while students in Class 12 will go to school on Mondays and Thursdays.
Students in Classes 9 and 10 will go to school on Saturdays, while those in Class 10 will go to school on Wednesdays.
To avoid the transmission of the virus, student gatherings such as morning assemblies and swimming sessions are not authorised.
Aside from that, the state government has directed schools to take a number of steps, including administering COVID-19 examinations to students and teachers.
Meanwhile, from July 26 to July 31, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains has ordered district collectors and chief medical and health officers to vaccinate teachers and non-teaching personnel at schools and colleges under the Department of Higher Education and School Education.
Teachers and workers of all government and non-government institutions and schools, including those of the Tribal Welfare Department, will get the first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccine.
