With Karnataka yet to arrive at an agreement on the continuous hijab contention as the high court keeps hearing for the situation, the Udupi police on Thursday said the circumstance in the city has been totally tranquil and there have been no pressures.
This comes in the midst of returning of the pre-college and degree universities in the state after they were closed for actual classes for almost seven days to stay away from any eruption because of the Hijab line. The state had seen monstrous fights after understudies were denied passage into the study halls for wearing the hijabs, strict headscarves worn by Muslim ladies.
“There is no strain in Udupi. The circumstance is 100 percent tranquil. We’re executing the High Court’s (break) request,” news organization ANI cited ST Siddalingappa, Udupi’s extra Superintendent of police, as saying.
