Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that river cruise tourism will also be used to encourage tourism activities in the state. With this, tourists will be able to get acquainted with the natural beauty and bio-diversity available around the Narmada river.
In a meeting chaired by Chouhan at the residence office, it was informed that cruise operation will be started from Barwani in Narmada river to Statue of Unity in Gujarat. The cruise will cover a distance of 135 kms. Cruise operations will also start from Bargi to Mandla.
Union Minister of AYUSH Sarbananda Sonowal, State Minister of State for AYUSH (Independent Charge) Ramkishore Nano Kanvre, Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture Shiv Shekhar Shukla and officials of Inland Waterways Authority of India were present.
