Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that a committee of Kisan Manch should be formed to give suggestions regarding simplification of the process of revenue department’s works related to farmers such as Namantaran, division, filing-dismissal etc. Revenue Department should make day-to-day process of the department smooth and simple by incorporating the suggestions of the Committee members. The capacity of transformers with excess demand will be increased. To solve the problems faced in relation to power supply, the work of strengthening the power system with an amount of Rs. 13 thousand crore is starting in the state, this will provide relief to the farmers. The process of permission for sawing of teak and other trees planted in the fields will be simplified.

Chouhan has said that Kisan Manch’s approach towards the problems of farmers is positive and suggestions are practical. The schemes and programmes can be made more practical and accessible by incorporating the suggestions of the Kisan Manch in the implementation of the schemes. Departments related to farmers should work on various components by setting a time limit.

Chouhan said this during the discussion in the Mantralaya with the representatives of various organisations including the office-bearers of the farmers union in the Kisan Manch programme. Agriculture Minister Shri Kamal Patel, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains along with officers of various departments were present.

Chouhan said that it should be ensured that the burnt transformers are changed within 24 hours. For the strengthening of the power system, information about increasing the capacity of transformers and other improvement works should be given to the farmers at the panchayat level. Along with this, permanent connections should be made available to the farmers as per the situation. Whichever mandis are possible to operate, ensure their operation in the interest of the farmers.

Chouhan invited the office bearers of Kisan Manch and farmers’ organisations to attend the Kisan-Kalyan Mahakumbh to be held in Rajgarh on June 13.

Discussions of Kisan Manch with Chief Minister were also held on points related to allowing fertilisers and seeds to be sold in the market only after certification, to weigh all agricultural produce in mandis with large weighing forks, to purchase all agricultural produce at support price, launching Chief Minister Permanent Agricultural Pump Grant Scheme and releasing the amount of capacitor surcharge on agricultural pumps in the accounts of the farmers.
