Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav directed to immediately resolve of last year’s pending scholarship cases for Scheduled Castes, Tribes, and Other Backward Classes through an action plan. He stressed that students should not face difficulties in obtaining scholarships. To facilitate this, he instructed setting a fixed timeline for the verification of scholarship applications, portal registration, and scholarship distribution. He urged the District Education Officer, District Public Service Manager, and Lead Bank Manager to ensure necessary co-ordination and conduct district-level campaigns to help students obtain the required documents. Additionally, he called for institution-wise verification to identify ineligible students receiving scholarships. Dr. Yadav reviewed the scholarship distribution process for college and school students in a meeting attended by Deputy Chief Minister Shri Jagdish Deora, School Education Minister Shri Uday Pratap Singh, Minister of State for Backward Classes and Minority Welfare (Independent Charge) Smt. Krishna Gaur, and Chief Secretary Smt. Veera Rana.

Arrangements to prepare competitive examinations must

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed to simplify the process of issuing caste certificates. He suggested that the General Administration Department study the procedures used in other states and form a task force with relevant departments to streamline the process promptly. Additionally, he called for the development of an effective action plan to ensure that students from Scheduled Castes, Tribes, and Other Backward Classes succeed in professional and competitive examinations. Dr. Yadav also highlighted the importance of providing necessary training to the youth from Baiga, Bharia, and Sahariya tribes to encourage their recruitment into the Home Guards and Police.

20 types of scholarships from 6 departments are being approved and distributed through the education portal

At least 20 types of scholarships from 6 departments are being approved and distributed through the education portal. In the year 2023-24, scholarships worth about Rs 330 crore were distributed to 64 lakh students. So far 92 lakh enrollments have been done in the year 2024-25.
