Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that Lord Shri Ram stayed in Madhya Pradesh for 11 years, while Lord Shri Krishna pursued studies in Acharya Sandipani Ashram, Ujjain in the state which makes Madhya Pradesh a proud state. Madhya Pradesh government has decided to develop those places where they stepped to make their memories associated with the state everlasting. Along with this, research on various aspects related to the personality of Lord Shri Krishna and his education in Madhya Pradesh will also be encouraged.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing a program organized on the occasion of Janmashtami at the Chief Minister’s residence premises today.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the friendship between Lord Krishna and Sudama is a source of inspiration. From the perspective of Madhya Pradesh, it is historic that Lord Krishna came to Madhya Pradesh for studies.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav heartily welcomed the public representatives, dignitaries, and citizens at the Janmashtami program.
The program started with garlanding and worshiping of the picture of Lord Krishna.
Khajuraho MP Shri V.D. Sharma said that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has taken important steps in the field of religion and spirituality.
Initiatives are being taken to create an ideal society by developing Barsana village in every development block of the state, promoting cattle rearing, organic farming, activities of humanity, social unity, and cultural awareness in the villages.
Along with this, the idea of building Geeta Bhawan will also be realized to serve the elderly in the cities and make arrangements for study for them.
Commendable work is being done in the state to develop the places related to the lives of Lord Shri Ram and Lord Shri Krishna.
Principal Secretary of Culture Department, Sheo Shekhar Shukla said that Shri Krishna Parv was celebrated at many places in the state.
The cleanliness and beauty of Shri Krishna temples added uniqueness to the programs.
Teenagers performed amazing Malkhambh
In the Janmashtami program at Chief Minister’s residence, 10 teenagers performed a spectacular Malkhamb under the direction of Dr. Ashish Mehta of Ujjain.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav openly praised their performance and honored them with Angavastram.
All the attendees unanimously appreciated the performance and said that it was a wonderful presentation.
Cultural programs make Janmashtami special
Many programs including dance, dance drama, singing, and musical instruments were organized by the Culture Department.
Along with regional folk dance Badhaai of Bundelkhand, Peacock Dance, Flower Holi of Mathura and Makhan Matki Phod programs were also organised.
Raj Parekh of Kolkata presented devotional songs, Jaya Saxena of Mathura presented peacock dance and flower Holi programs.
The dance drama was presented by Harshita Sharma of Indore.
Badhaai dance was directed by Abhilash Chaubey. The programme was conducted by Kritika Gupta and Vijay Manwani.
