Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the Republic Day programme should become a public campaign. With the co-operation of the public, special campaigns should be run before Republic Day and programmes should be held for development work and public welfare. Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing the preparations for the Republic Day ceremony to be held in Jabalpur through video conferencing from the residence office.
The Chief Minister will participate in the programme of Republic Day celebrations in Jabalpur. Additional Chief Secretary General Administration Vinod Kumar was present. Member of Parliament Rakesh Singh, Commissioner and Collector from Jabalpur virtually attended the meeting.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that all-round development of the district including Jabalpur city is our priority. He said that the work of smart city in Jabalpur should go on at a fast pace. Quality should be ensured in development works. Run a campaign for development and public welfare works in the rural areas of the district as well. He said that in the special campaign, complete preparations should be made to do the development works on a war footing. I myself will come to Jabalpur to inspect. He said that when I come before the Republic Day, I will also hold a meeting with the citizens. Development and public welfare work should be done by involving citizens.
Chief Minister Chouhan inquired about the preparations for the Republic Day celebrations from the Collector Jabalpur. It was told that the 15-day special campaign will run from January 10 to 25. All government buildings will be repaired, painted and beautified. There will be various activities along with improvement work of roads.
