Ranbir kapoor and Alia bhatt tied the knot at Ranbir’s residence Vastu on Thursday. The family members and close friends of the couple attended the wedding.
The guests from the Kapoor family included Neetu Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Karishma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Reema Jain, Armaan Jain, Adar Jain,, Shweta Bachchan Nanda and Navya Naveli Nanda. While from the Bhatt’s family, Mahesh Bhatt, Soni Razdan, Pooja Bhatt and others attended the wedding. The friends of the bride and groom from the film industry including Karan Johar, Ayan Mukerji and Akansha Ranjan were also attended.
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt finally tied the knot after years of speculations about the date and venue.
Alia took to instagram on Thursday evening, sharing pictures of the wedding ceremony on her instagram account.
The pictures show the couple in a different poses, during the wedding ceremonies.
She captioned the post, Today surrounded by our family and friends at home… in our favourite spot – the balcony we’ve spent the last 5 years of our relationship- we got married.
With so much already behind us, we can’t wait to build more memories together… memories that are full of love, laughter, comfortable silcences, movie nights, silly fights, wine delights and Chinese bites. Thank you for all the love and light during this very momentous time in our lives. It has made this moment all the more special”. She signed off the message writing ‘Love, Ranbir and Alia’.
The wedding festivities began with a traditional ritual – first pooja at the venue. This was followed by a mehendi function, attended by the close friends and family of the bride and the groom.
