Meanwhile, owing to poor patronage, the Eastern Railway has decided to stop running 16 trains as of May 7. Eastern Railway has asked passengers to plan their journeys accordingly and apologized for the inconvenience in a tweet.
It can be recalled that in April, the Indian Railways agreed to cancel 40 train services due to the seriousness of the situation in the aftermath of the second wave of COVID-19, as well as low passenger load.
