The Congress campaign for the upcoming assembly elections in Tripura, Meghalaya and Nagaland in the North Eastern states is becoming aggressive. Congress President Rahul Gandhi has gathered in public for the Meghalaya assembly elections to be held on February 27. Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday attacked the BJP and the RSS on the fiercely. He said in Shillong that if we come back to power in the center then we will make changes in GST structure, make it easier.
Rahul Gandhi said that we are fighting the RSS ideology all over the country. Attempts are being made to impose a particular kind of thinking across the country. BJP and RSS are doing the same in whole of India, especially in north-eastern India. BJP and RSS are trying to weaken your culture, language and way of life.
The Congress President said that RSS ideology is weakening women. Does anyone know how many women lead in the RSS? Zero. If you see photos of Mahatma Gandhi, you will see women around them, but if you see pictures of Mohan Bhagwat, he will be surrounded by alone or with men.
Rahul said that there is a balance in the Congress that there is not much difference between the number of women and men in the election. He said that he invites women in Meghalaya to join the party, so that we can give maximum opportunity to women.
Voting will take place on February 18 in Tripura’s 60 assembly seats and in Meghalaya on February 27, the voting will be held. Meghalaya also has 60 seats in the Assembly. Counting of votes will be done on March 3 in both the states.
