After repeatedly interrupting Chief Minister Amarinder Singh’s speech on the Governor’s address, the Punjab Assembly Speaker removed all Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) MLAs from the House for the remainder of the Budget session on Friday. The Punjab Assembly saw a major drama following Mr Rana KP Singh’s interruption of all Akali Dal Members and orders them to sit outside the Chamber for the remainder of the Budget.
Following their suspension, marshals stormed the Punjab Vidhan Sabha and forcibly seized the Opposition MLAs.
They squatted in the Well for a moment, however, and started to yell anti-CM slogans. The police had to then lift the Akali MLAs and lead them out of the House.
Pawan Kumar Tinu was pushed out of the House by the police after he again tried to enter the Vidhan Sabha.
Earlier that day, Bholath MLA and former opposition leader Sukhpal Khaira raised the issue of suspected police violence against one farmer group of protesters, Ranjit Singh, on the Singhu frontier.
He said that he had been taken from the farmers’ camp and detained by police with the suspected assistance of the RSS and the BJP people.
AAP MLAs also walked out of the Building, accusing the Punjab government of collusion in the enactment of the three farm laws.
