School Education Department principal secretary Rashmi Arun Shami said to make Madhya Pradesh self-reliant and progressive it is necessary to promote ‘high-skill, high-wage’ concept.
In past few years there is economic progress in the state particularly the agriculture sector has seen massive progress, she said.
In this sequence a lot of work needs to be done in education and skill development, she said.
Madhya Pradesh is in aspirational state category, she said.
She was addressing a conference of the voluntary organizations’ cooperation in development and sharing of their experience on ‘Education, Skill development and Livelihood’. She presided the session.
She said the society can play an important role in this.
More and quality work can be done by working in a select area, she said.
The social organizations are doing better work in every sector, she said.
The present need is to include skill development in school education, she said.
She said skill development and livelihood are synonymous to each other.
Skill development is need of the hour, she said.
The children need to connect with it and to create attraction towards it, she said.
She said it is seen that mental stress has increased among the children after Covid pandemic.
It is a matter of concern, she said.
In this, not only the parents and teachers but also the society will have to come forward for help, she said.
Dr. Yogesh Kumar of social organization Smarthan said the quality of education must be job-oriented.
He said inclusion of the practical and theoretical qualities in any work is considered as the quality work.
He said the students should get the benefit of the education, so that they can get the employment or by upgrading their skills can be linked with the livelihood.
Than only the education will be considered as worthy, he said.
The quality of the education is based on the principles of thoughts and learning process, he added.
