Priyanka Gandhi, daughter of Sonia Gandhi and sister to Rahul Gandhi has now joined active politics ahead of Lok Sabha Elections, 2019.
Priyanka Gandhi will officially take charge as General Secretary of Uttar Pradesh, East region from first week of February.
Official Account on Twitter of Indian National Congress (INC) tweeted, “Many congratulations to Shri K C Venugopal, Smt. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Shri @JM_Scindia on their new appointments. We’re fired up & ready to go!”
Soon after which Priyanka Gandhi tweeted, “The bond between INC and Uttar Pradesh dates back to the birth to birth of Pundit Nehru. It is time to revive the bond and unite the family of UP to fight the fascist divisive forces.”
The Press Release by INC also unveiled other changes in responsibilities within the organization. KC Venugopal will take as the party’s general secretary (organization).
